The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Well... this story/movie might be old for you guys that already watched it.. But hey, they are some teenagers have not seen this movie. You know, teenagers nowadays or kids nowadays love to spend their time infront of their laptops or phone (a.k.a anti-social. Heheh) so for those who have not watch or seen this movie, i recommend you to buy/download or whatever for you to watch it. Its your choice btw.

Benjamin Button is actually a disease known as progeria. It is estimated to occur in just one in every 4 to 8 million births, according to the Progeria Research Foundation. The extremely rare and fatal disease strongly resembles normal human aging but begins in young children. So they make a movie about this disease titled "The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttob". I once cried watched this movie. I hope you guys too.

Progeria is kind of disease that occurs when the baby is born that doesn't looks like a normal baby instead he/she looks like a seventy or eighty years old man.. But as the year past (according to the benjamin button storyline) a person who have this disease may look become more younger and when his/her age turns to eighty, he/she might looks like a baby. That means this disease turns your looks (age) upside down.

What are the signs and symptoms?
Children with progeria usually develop the first symptoms during tgeir first few months of life. The earliest symptoms may include a failure to thrive and a localized scleroderma-like skin condition. As a child ages past infancy, additional conditions become apparent usually around 18-24 months. Limted growth, full-body alocepia (hairloss), and a distinctive appearance (a small face with shallow recessed jaw, and a pinched nose) are all characteristics of progeria.

Sign and spmptoms of this progressive disease tend to becime more marked as the child ages. Later, the condition causes wrinkled skin, atherosclerosis, kidney failure, loss of eyesight and cardiovascular problems like an elderly people. (From Wikipedia).

Is there any treatment for Progeria? No, there is no treatment except a medication related to cardiovascular problems (or any others).

So, in this movie, they try to show you how the disease works or you can say how the disease affect a person/baby. How will his life goes, how would he faced the world with progeria, how he died and so on.. Curious? Watch it then (bring your box of tissue along!) i am sure that you will impress with the storylines. Same goes to my previous movie preview which is "The Theory of Everything".

Thank you for spending your time reading and browsing thru my blog although it is kind of a little bit boring.. Its okay. I truely understand that. But make sure you guys watch the movies if you have not watched them!

The Theory of Everything

It is normal for people to write on their blog about their daily life. so yeah, i'll do the same thing to my blog i guess. but.. maybe not, because i think of something. (30minutes later 'thinking of something') nope, i can't think of one (smirk). Today is 24th of February, which is on Tuesday. I decide to sleepover at my cousin's house at Panaga, Seria.

Now, we are watching about Stephen Hawking story. i've learned that he has a disease named MND, Motor Neuron Disease. I'm sure that you guys know about him, well, if you don't, i recommend you to google this guy. It's pretty amazing tho. I'll tell you what is Motor Neuron Disease from my understanding (i've google about this thing while watching the Stephen Hawking movie, because I'm that curious). Talking about MND. MND is something about your nerves system weakening. It has to do with nerve disorder that can destroy your motor neuron that control your muscle activity such as, walking, swallowing, speaking, breathing and anything to do with muscle activity. So normally, messages from nerve cell in the brain which is called upper neuron will be send to nerve cell in the brain stem and spinal cord called lower neuron to produce movement activity such as walking and chewing. lower neuron basically control movement in arms, legs, chests, face, throat and tongue.

So who actually affected by this disease? It can affected to both children and adult. in children, it affected before they learned walking or present at birth. While in adult, the symptoms appear after the age of 40. how they are affected? it is because of the gene. From what i read, 50percent of children (one of the children or more) that their parents has risk of this disease will be affected. this disease has been diagnose that, a person that has this MND will only live for maximum 2 years, but this Stephen Hawking story, it's incredible that he can live until now which his age is 73years old.

If you interested in science, or you love science, you should watch this movie named "the theory of everything". so what are you waiting for? download it then! It is an interesting yet amazing movie on how a person with Motor Neuron Disease can survive over 2 years of life span that has been predicted. Just watch it ALREADY!
